The Marion County High School Student Ambassador program helps students develop the skills and dispositions necessary to be lifelong leaders. The group is part of the Next Generation Marion County Initiative and works to promote the successes of MCPS. Ambassadors participate in board of education meetings, provide tours of school campuses, assist with community events, and assume numerous other leadership and mentorship responsibilities.

Each spring, the group hosts its annual Young Leaders' Conference bringing together approximately 60 students in grades 4-8 for a one-day event designed and led by the ambassadors. The day concludes with an awards luncheon. Below is a video highlighting the 2019 Young Leaders' Conference.
